ABSTRACT
The article provides an analysis of experience in technology, research, drilling and production of oil in the middle of the twentieth century from the depths of the sea. Less than a century it took people to master not only the coastal zone, but also to enter into deep water a considerable distance from the shore and feel confident enough there. The development of scientific and technical ideas aimed at creating a diverse and reliable hardware, to help them in the development of the seas and reinforce their confidence in the output of the open ocean. The first attempts to master the coastal zone in the XIX century were unsuccessful, the sea did not take beginners. And all the people came into the fight with the sea, began to win part of its territory. This route proved more successful, and the first oil in California and in the Caspian Sea, extracted in the sea area was decent pay people for their perseverance and persistence. She took out hard, but the oil industry has given confidence that they are on the right track.
KEYWORDS: coastal zone, offshore oil, mining, exploration, drilling, prospecting and exploration.

ABSTRACT
This article describes the pre-war, war and postwar years emergence of oil and gas industry in the Orenburg region. Large stocks and favorable geographical position, the powerful gas transmission pipe, the presence of gas in the Orenburg gas condensate field, many of the components determined the high economic efficiency of oil and gas extraction. Energy complex developed by using newest achievements in science and technology. Increase in oil production was due to application of new methods of stimulation to increase the selection of raw materials from the bowels, introduction of advanced technology, automation and mechanization of production processes. The basis for the stabilization of the oil industry is putting into perspective the development of new deposits and the expansion of the application of modern methods of enhanced oil recovery. Technical progress in the gas industry developed in the following areas: drilling, well construction cycle reduction and increasing their reliability; accelerate the development of the deposit; increasing the degree of preparation of gas for transportation; increase in productivity of gas pipeline; integrated gas processing, automation and the introduction of automation.
KEYWORDS: Orenburg, oil and gas, Bugurulansky oilfields, Orsk Refinery, the Orenburg gas chemical complex.

ABSTRACT
The article touches upon the issue of methods of monitoring and techniques used for forecasting volcanic eruptions in the Kamchatka Peninsula, the work of expert councils. The list of approved forecasts in the past 57 years (from 1955 to 2012) is given in the first part of the article. The circumstances of the most important forecasts are particularized. Over the years, the Kamchatka Volcano Observatory, the Institute of Volcanology, Volcanic Geology and Geochemistry and the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences have given 29 approved forecasts. Among them the medium-term forecasts of paroxysmal eruptions of Bezymianny volcano and Sheveluch volcano, the outstanding short-term forecasts of the eruptions of Plosky Tolbachik volcano, Klyuchevskoy volcano, Karymsky volcano and Sheveluch volcano. The Kamchatka branch of the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences gave about twenty successful forecasts.
